THE GILLINGHAM TANDOORI

We first opened our doors in North Dorset in 1990, serving the finest Indian cuisine from our Grade II listed building in The Square at the bottom of Gillingham High Street.

Our aim is to provide the best experience we can for our customers, many of whom are regular visitors. Our restaurant is fully licensed and air conditioned so whether you are dining in, taking your dinner away with you, or having it delivered, we want you to enjoy delicious food and fantastic service.

According to Indian Food Theory, authentic Indian cuisine should be a balance of 6 flavours: sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter and astringent. We use a balance of all of these, with just a couple standing out, to create each delicious dish. We use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and our dishes are freshly made on the premises by our experienced chefs.

We are happy to cater to any dietary requirements you may have. Our menus are clearly labelled with the 14 common food allergens and our team are on hand to answer any questions you have about our ingredients. Our chef will be pleased to prepare any dish not on the menu if you contact us in advance.
